Chess Mate Foundation Story
Empowering Children Through Chess
Chess Mate Foundation uses chess as a structured tool for cognitive growth among underprivileged, orphaned, and physically challenged children across Bharat. Backed by a pioneering longitudinal research program, we’re building one of India’s first datasets on how chess-based learning impacts children’s cognitive development — helping educators, researchers, and policymakers design better programs for the future. Through partnerships with NGOs and institutions nationwide, we’re creating an inclusive ecosystem where every child can thrive.

Our Mission
Use Chess as a board game to develop cognitive skills of fighter children (underprivileged, orphaned, physically challenged), reduce skill gap to address gender polarity, increase intragenerational mobility. Chess playing will help to handle complexity of life: Social challenge and Financial challenge – to address Sustainable development goal

Our Vision
- To enable fighter children (underprivilege, orphan, physically challenged) to earn rights and self-reliant, will reduce gender gap, increase social mobility
- To promote research space for psychology intern students and engage them with practical societal challenges

Guided by chess trainers, psychologists, and cognitive scientists, our structured assessment framework tracks progress across eight cognitive domains — from focus to decision-making. For us, chess isn’t a career path to enforce, but a co-pilot that strengthens the confidence and critical thinking every child needs to pursue their own dreams.
